Perfumery
J. communis is used in perfumery for its fresh, balsamic notes. It blends well with cedar notes, citrus essential oils, cypress C. sempervirens, lavender L. angustifolia, and pine P. sylvestris in room spray air fresheners. Labdanum Cistus ladanifer (L.) absolute is a great fixative for Juniper.

For the House & Cookery
Flavor meat, gin, and other liqueurs. They were once used as a spice and substitute for pepper. Roasted berries have been used as a coffee substitute. Edible for humans and can provide survival food for hikers and hunters!
